I'm not necessarily one for boasting, but I would like to take a few minutes to do so here! I was thrilled to get the call from Governor Sandoval's office, requesting that he sign his Proclamation on School Choice at Oasis Academy. It was one of those great moments, when all the blood, sweat, and tears pays off in a very visible way! It was a true testament to the hard work of so many people, too many to name, but they know who they are!
This may also be the perfect opportunity, to let our families know that recently Nevada Speaker of the Assembly, John Oceguera, appointed me to the State Public Charter School Authority Board. I will attend my first meeting February 10th in Las Vegas. I am hopeful that I can bring something useful to board as someone who is living the charter school life day in and day out! I look forward to helping improve Nevada's Charter School system!
